Just the flax, Ma'am

Did you know that Canadian currency is made out of flax? It is (But don't eat it. It's better to use the money to buy fancy food for yourself or a present for someone you like.) Flax is also a highly versatile food. It's rich in dietary fibre and antioxidants, plentiful in vitamins and minerals and high in essential fatty acids. On another note…generations ago women soaked flaxseed in water to release the gummy substance from the seed coat and then applied it to their hair as gel. What more can you ask from the lil' ol' flax seed?
