Maple Barbecue Sauce from Cailsmere Farm

½ c. maple syrup
1 chopped onion
2 chopped garlic cloves
1 c. tomato ketchup
1 tsp. basil
1 T. vinegar
1 T. lemon juice
Tabasco to taste
salt and pepper

Mix all ingredients and simmer 30 minutes. Pour mixture over chicken or pork chops and bake in oven.
